The door ball joint actually needs to sit BELOW the surface of the sub door so the bracket bonds to the outside surface of the door leaving about 1mm of needed clearance. . . . .

The area where the hinge point bonds is just the 1/4 inch of root rib. There is space behind that so I bonded in these little squares of 1/4 ply to may the bond surface a least as wide as the hinge point

Look close and you'll see the channels for the special tool I made to tighten the 1/5mm bolts with locknuts. (good luck finding this for sale - I just happened to have some around from years past)

Here you see the necessary clearance gap in the inboard door surface. You might also notice my bodywork where I ground right thru the bottom of the wing :-O. It's surprisingly easy to do.

I neglect to say anything about it but I did back up the servo mounts in the gear tub with a hardwood block (top here) and a 1/4 ply piece with a piece of triangle stock bottom which ties the servo to both top and bottom wing surfaces.

Here's the Robart. Another big plus is they are almost 6 ounces lighter than the Airworld set! They also capture the inner tire rubber on the hub rim so they can't roll off. Great tires.
