RE: Hostetler 33% Decathlon

Hi Marcus,

I am not sure if I am the Jeff you are referring to. I built a 30%SD a few years back and posted my progress. What you guy's did during your building experiences on the 33% sure did...

RE: Hostetler 33% Decathlon

Hello Jim,

I built the 30% Hostetler SD. The jury struts I made up myself out of airfoil tube and bent strips. It was pretty easy to do. I have corresponded with Ari but have not met him.

RE: Hostetler 33% Decathlon

Hello Jim,

It is Wendell's 25% Gee Bee.

RE: Hostetler 33% Decathlon

Hi Ari,

I thought I would add to the spar glassing discussions..

I think that it is important to reinforce the boxes. I find that even with smooth landings, inverted flight, spins etc that...

RE: Hostetler 33% Decathlon

Hello Marcus,

What a great idea! Your method is very simple but effective. I will try this method on my ZDZ80. I will not have to worry about airflow to the carby.

You are correct, an...

RE: Hostetler 33% Decathlon

Ari,

I got a mount turned down from a solid piece of aluminium. The top is flat and the inside hollowed out. This is good for the Zenoa because of the crankshaft extension. The bottom of the...
