This is interesting. 47 days since the last post in this thread. Looks like everyone has run out of things to post or argue about. Guess I'll have to start working on my boats again since there's nothing going on in here

I'm still around; I've been doing a lot more overseas traveling for the past several months. I'm just waiting for their latest filed 990 to hit public websites. Despite the fact that by law it's a public document, AMA makes it available only behind a pay-wall or write them a check to get it. So I just wait until it hits the public non-profit monitoring sites and/or the IRS's own site.

I read their latest minutes with interest. More whistling past the graveyard.

When you need two numbers to buy a properly fitting pair of slacks, hard to imagine someone trying to run an organization focusing on just one. But hey, "they're pretty smart."

RCU pretty much is dead and I'm busy elsewhere. The ads everywhere suck

Oh, and, while we're on the subject of crickets, here's my "Hand Klaxon" car horn from an early 1900's car, still functioning perfectly over 100 years later.

When it sings it's "Aruggga" song, oh Hell yeah the crickets shut up and listen!!!!

(it is quite surprisingly LOUD)

Agreed, I have to think that the horse has been dead for quite a while. I’m happy to say that reducing my time here has certainly led to more building time, just maidened two yesterday. I also came home with a Kadet kit. Looks like some fuselage work had been started but appears mostly complete. I know you are rather fond of them. If you PM a shipping address, it’s yours.

Which version? There has to be at least five or six different versions that were produced

Looks to be the first, original version.

Hydro, what difference does it make, a free kit is a free kit. If it were me, I would thank the man and accept it for what it is, or you can be gracious and reply that you appreciate the offer but would not be able to make use of it at the moment. Perhaps someone else might be able to make use of the nice offer.

The difference it makes is if it was a Jr, I've got two, with modifications, under construction. In that case, a third Jr would be better served in the hands of someone else that wants to learn to build and fly it.
Speed, I'll get back to you in a day or two. It would be a good winter project but I'm so far behind on projects the wife might blow a gasket if I were to get another one. My living room already looks like a boat shop and she's starting to get impatient on getting the room back before the holiday season. Yes, I know, that's five months away but, with all the boats and other projects, it's safer to get the okay than to ask for forgiveness after the fact

Ooops,, I guess I forgot to read the rules,

That's the one of the few benefits of these old tech sites, they can do anything about it
